The Streaming Giant Selects Spot-On Performer for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Season 3
Baroque Works is set to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the major clash won’t unfold until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
Netflix announced this week that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Mr. 2. This character can use their power to morph into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The performer, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that role re-envisioned as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the live-action show, unlike the original manga and cartoon version.
The new cast member will work alongside several other fresh additions set to bring the group to the screen, including chief Sir Crocodile, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as the ruler of the fictional land.
Even though Bon Clay is a important part of the organization, the individual will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the next season set to cover the Little Garden arc, this marks a major departure in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could suggest further changes to the plot development.
The actor’s combination of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the character. Besides their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and multiple awards for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
The platform’s adapted One Piece show is set to return for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
