Passionate fans of the actress are calling for that a man who breached a barrier and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral video depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing photographers and rushing toward Grande while the actors proceeded down a yellow carpet accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being taken in", though court documents indicated that he was due to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Record of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram profile includes recordings of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last December.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Fans Express Concern Over the Star's Safety

Several followers criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote a further message on Instagram.

Several fans also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while others called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande seemed startled when she was grabbed by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore venue, including some who had queued for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be premiered on November 21, is the second of a dual version of the well-known theatrical show Wicked, which focuses on the surprising relationship between two distinct witches.

The show itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, earning a pair for best costume and artistic direction.
