Manchester United versus Brighton – English top flight Match Report
Preamble
Manchester United, having just beaten Liverpool and Sunderland, aim for a trio of victories on the bounce this evening. The wind’s behind them with Ruben Amorim in charge currently!
However, their visitors tonight are the Seagulls, with victories in their previous three visits at the Theatre of Dreams, plus six out of seven fixtures head-to-head.
Despite United’s form; Brighton have found relatively easy. Nevertheless, the visitors are also consistently inconsistent as their hosts, so this game is competing and maybe highly entertaining.
The match begins at 5.30pm BST a final reminder for now as the clocks go back this evening, everyone. Let’s go!

Squad Updates
United decided on two changes after their 2-1 win at Anfield last weekend. Šeško is selected replacing Mount, now on the substitutes, while last week’s win-securing hero Maguire is absent at all, Leny Yoro taking his place in defence.
An issue arose in midweek sessions. Malacia makes the squad among the substitutes for the first time this season.
Brighton & Hove Albion make one alteration after their 2-1 home win against the Magpies. It’s ostensibly a defensive one, bringing in De Cuyper replacing Gómez, on the bench.
Welbeck, ex-United player that lifted the title during the 2012-13 season, comes back to Manchester on a hot streak with four recent goals, exceeding his tally over his last 15 matches.
Build-Up
Ruben Amorim doesn’t much care regarding comments from Liverpool’s boss … but Danny Welbeck is highly concerned about the considerations from the German coach.
Various reports suggest the fixture might affect their campaigns during the league campaign progresses.
Key players to watch are Fernandes in red and the Brighton forward in blue and white, both on song lately.
